PEMAKO, Thimphu – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel at Taj Tashi is fab, with very well-appointed, spacious rooms presenting a lovely view. The welcoming chocolate and complementary red wine added to the hospitality. However, the noise from the adjacent construction site in the early mornings was a downside.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel, blending Bhutanese tradition with modernity. The rooms were always spotless and exactly what we needed, spacious and well laid out. The service was exceptional, with the team replenishing all our requirements and even hand-delivering items to the room. The location was perfect for exploring the town, despite some noise from a nearby construction site. The dining experience was exceptionally nice, especially the Signature Dosa suggested by Mr Bhanu. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel could definitely use some major refurbishment as the rooms are worn and tired, and the food quality is not great. On the bright side, the staff is incredibly kind and supportive, engaging us with local food sourcing stories. The location is central, although the noise from the construction building across the street can be a disturbance.

The service was outstanding, complemented by the awesome hospitality of the staff. The location in the heart of Thimpu town was a great advantage, making it convenient to explore the area. The dining experience was delightful with a uniquely designed restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The facilities were top-notch, adding to a truly enjoyable stay.
